Collier County Growth Management Community Development Department adds A/C Replacements for Multifamily residential units to the Self-Issuing permits through the GMD Public Portal.
For a Multifamily A/C Replacement to qualify for self-issuing, the following criteria must be met (subject to change):
- Number of Tons: 4 or less
- Is this for a residential unit?: Yes
- Replacing more than one A/C unit?: No
- Changing size of original equipment?: No
- Moving location of equipment?: No
- Any Lineset/piping work?: No
- Any Ductwork?: No
- Adding new min-split?: No
- Contractor’s License must be Active with Collier and Valid for the type of work
- at time of submittal
- Must select Valid Collier County address at time of application
What to expect, if the following criteria is met?
- No documentation required at time of submittal
- Application ready for payment immediately after submitted
- Permit will issue after payment received
Important Note!!
- JOB SITE ADDRESS: Selecting the correct job site address on the Portal will be crucial. If an incorrect address is selected on the portal and submitted, it may be required to cancel permit, reapply, and fees are nonrefundable.
